Carlos Oliveira Will Be Playable in RESIDENT EVIL 3: REMAKE; Capcom's Next Game Is 90% Done
Considering that last year's remake of Resident Evil 2 has won countless awards and become one of Capcom's biggest sales hits ever, it's not surprising that the Japanese company is prioritising the next entry in the main Resident Evil series.
In the latest issue of Famitsu, Resident Evil 3: Remake Producers Peter Fabiano and Masao Kawada revealed that the highly anticipated title is almost finished — as the works on the horror are allegedly 90% done.
With RE3: Remake releasing this April, Capcom still have plenty of time to further polish the upcoming reimagining of the 1999 classic.
Furthermore, the Official PlayStation Magazine UK has brought us some fascinating details on Resident Evil 3: Remake. Fans of Carlos Oliveira — a hired gun sent to the totally zombiefied Raccoon City by the villainous Umbrella Corporation to "save" remaining survivors — should be happy to hear that he will officially be playable in the remake.
Moreover, Nemesis is based on RE2: Remake's Tyrant, but with an even more advanced AI, at least reportedly. Funnily enough, Capcom has even created a huge sculpture of the monster and then scanned it using the so-called photogrammetry to make him look even more realistic. Don't worry, the awful Sliding Worms will also make a return in the remake.
Unfortunately, Resident Evil 3: Remake is dropping the Mercenaries mode in favour of RE: Resistance, a brand-new 1 vs 4 asymmetrical experience that will be included in the Resident Evil 3: Remake package.
Additionally, you can forget about replaying the game over and over again to get different endings — as Capcom's next big thing will feature only one, definitive conclusion.
Experience Jill Valentine’s encounter with the unrelenting Nemesis in this survival-horror classic remade from the ground up. It also includes Resident Evil Resistance, a new 1 vs 4 asymmetrical online multiplayer game set in the Resident Evil universe. Cooperate as one of four Survivors or as a twisted Mastermind attempting to stop them at every turn.
Resident Evil 3: Remake is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam) on April 3, 2020.
