The long-awaited Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot launches this Friday, which means that we're in the middle of Bandai Namco's final marketing push for the RPG-lite title — as the Japanese company has released yet another trailer for their new extravaganza.
In the brand-new video overview, we can take a closer look at the so-called Soul Emblems, which will be needed if you feel like building up your own Community Board might be something you could be potentially interested in.
According to Namco, collecting these Emblems will be necessary to increase the available bonuses from each different board — as they can also be upgraded to grant you more rewards by investing in Friendship and Proficiency — the two parameters that will play a key role in increasing the Emblems overall effectiveness.
Just like in other RPG games from the Land of the Cherry Blossom, interacting with NPCs (like Piccolo and Vegeta) will add some points to your stats, making your fighting abilities ever more efficient in various battle scenarios.
While it all sounds complex, the latest trailer does a good job explaining the crucial gameplay mechanic:
Relive the story of Goku and other Z Fighters in DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT! Beyond the epic battles, experience life in the DRAGON BALL Z world as you fight, fish, eat, and train with Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and others. Explore the new areas and adventures as you advance through the story and form powerful bonds with other heroes from the DRAGON BALL Z universe.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam) on January 17, 2020.
