METRO: REDUX Is Officially on the Way to Nintendo Switch; Developed In-House by 4A Games

After a series of smaller and bigger leaks, Deep Silver has finally announced the long-rumoured Nintendo Switch port of the Metro: Redux bundle, featuring two award-winning video games created by 4A Games — Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light.

Developed in-house by the team at 4A Games, the upcoming Nintendo Switch iteration of Metro Redux will contain both critically acclaimed video games and all the post-launch content — rebuilt in the "latest and greatest" iteration of the 4A Engine (obviously not counting the one powering last year's Metro: Exodus).

The Switch port of Metro: Redux will be released worldwide on the 16GB cart on the 28th of February.

In case you're not familiar with Redux, it allows players to immerse themselves in Dmitry Glukhovsky's universe by re-discovering Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light — with "superior AI, controls, animation, weapon handling and many more," namely all the little features that debuted in 2013's Last Light and have been transferred to Metro 2033: Redux to make the original shooter even more enjoyable and accessible.

Withut further ado, be sure to take a look at the announcement trailer for the Switch edition of Metro: Redux:

Re-Enter the Metro with the definitive version of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light together in Metro Redux. Both games have gone through a substantial overhaul, completely rebuilding Metro 2033 on a new engine, improving the AI, voiceovers, gunplay, animations, and revamping the overall player experience. Metro Redux contains both Metro games and all the DLC ever released.

Metro: Redux is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam, GOG, Origin and the EGS); coming to Nintendo Switch on February 28, 2020.
