The Base-Building Survival RIFTBREAKER Is Officially Coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC
The team at EXOR Studios has officially announced that the brand-new base-building survival Riftbreaker probably won't be available for PS4 and Xbox One — as the developer is aiming to throw "thousands of hostile creatures" at you at any given moment.
According to Exor Studios COO Paweł Lekki, "The Riftbreaker is designed with the PC platform in mind, and we want to fully embrace modern technologies. The game's release will naturally coincide with the launch of next-gen machines. Porting The Riftbreaker to the new consoles should be rather non-problematic," the COO told Graczpospolita. "When it comes to the current generation of consoles, a dedicated port would surely require some sacrifices compared to the PC version, so we'll have to think in through."
Although the note doesn't specify which "next-gen consoles" Lekki actually had in mind, it's safe to say that The Riftbreaker is on the way to the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 and Xbox One successors.
In the game, you take on the role of Ashley S. Nowak — the titular Riftbreaker. She's an elite commando who's been sent to investigate a mysterious planet to establish a base that will ultimately allow her to travel back to Earth. Unfortunately, the Galatea 37 planet is rather hostile towards tourists, with hundreds of savage creatures doing their best to destroy her and her friendly — and thankfully powerful — mech.
While we're still waiting for more details on The Riftbreaker, take a look at the game's trailer down below:
