The Deadly Tournament Has Begun in the First MORTAL KOMBAT LEGENDS: SCORPION'S REVENGE Trailer
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
The team at Warner Bros. Animation has released the first trailer for Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge — and it seems that fans of the NetherRealm Studios-created game series should definitely keep an eye on the animated flick. While the movie's rating will be R, the trailer doesn't feature any gruesome or ultra-violent scenes.
As expected, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge won't get a traditional theatrical release. Instead, the highly anticipated animation will come straight to Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital at some point this spring.
Scorpion's Revenge is directed by Ethan Spaulding (Avatar: The Last Airbender), with Joel McHale lending his voice to Johnny Cage, Jennifer Carpenter to Sonya Blade, Jordan Rodrigues to Lui Kang, Patrick Seitz to Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi, Steve Blum to Sub-Zero, Artt Butler to Shang Tsung, Darin De Paul to Quan Chi, Robin Atkin Downes to Kano, David B. Mitchell to Raiden, Ike Amadi to Jax Briggs, Kevin Michael Richardson to Goro, Grey Griffin to Kitana and Satoshi Hasashi, and Fred Tatasciore to Demon Torturer.
Given that Mortal Kombat returns to theatres next January in a full-blown reboot, Scorpion's Revenge may serve as a nice appetiser before the main meal — as Director Simon McQuoid is currently shooting the movie in Australia.
