Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales originally launched in 2018, but it's finally available for Nintendo Switch — and to celebrate the spin-off's recent release, the team at CD Projekt Red has debuted another launch trailer for the role-playing title.
If watching Netflix's The Witcher made you eager to explore the Andrzej Sapkowski-created world more, you can purchase Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales from the Nintendo eShop now — as the acclaimed game it priced at $19.99.
At its core, Thronebreaker combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and some card battle mechanics, as The Witcher Tales was brought to you by the developers responsible for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
In Thronebreaker, you take on the role of Meve, a war-veteran and queen of Lyria and Rivia. Your main task is relatively simple — making sure that an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion is stopped before it turns the Continent into ashes. Given that you it can take you up to 30 hours to finish the campaign mode, being able to play The Witcher Tales on the go definitely sounds like a reasonable alternative to the traditional ways of experiencing everything the game has to offer.
Without further ado, take a closer look at Thronebreaker in its Nintendo Switch launch trailer down below:
Thronebreaker is a single player role-playing game that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and turn-based battles, and spins the tale of Meve, war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms — Lyria and Rivia. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath and set out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge.
Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam and GOG).
