ATOMIC HEART Gets a Wonderfully Bizarre Gameplay Teaser, Even If It's Surprisingly

Given that Mundfish has never made a big video game before, the scope and ambition of Atomic Heart is worthy of respect — and the recently revealed trailer for the title proves that it might be one of the most surprising games of the year.

While the new trailer is not the longest one, it does a good job spotlighting the unique setting of Atomic Heart — as it will take you on a wild ride across the fallen USSR. In Atomic Heart, you play as an agent who journeys to the corrupted empire's heart to learn more about the disaster that ultimately ruined it.

If you feel like playing something in the same vein as BioShock, Atomic Heart might be right up your alley.

Atomic Heart will launch sometime this year, but it's surprising to see this many technical issues in the officially released video. Although the game's world is detailed and varied, the newly released footage is constantly "laggy," with the frame rate dropping well below the desired 30FPS in more heated scenarios.

Without further ado, be sure to take a look at the universe of Atomic Heart in its all-new trailer down below:

Atomic Heart is an adventure first-person shooter, events of which unfold in an alternative universe, during the high noon of the Soviet Union. The main character of the game is a special agent, who was sent to a highly secret object by the Soviet government after it went radio silent. Soviet setting with a pitch of insanity, action-packed gameplay and a thrilling story will keep you entertained for the whole duration of your journey into the world of Atomic Heart. Unfold the secrets, restore peace and order, and show the Motherland what you got!

Atomic Heart is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam).
