DOOM: Eternal finally hits stores around the world on the 20th of March, as Bethesda Softworks and IGN give you the unique chance to prepare yourself for the upcoming fight against the Demons of Hell with two action-packed gameplay videos.
The first video puts the spotlight on the first ten minutes of DOOM: Eternal. In the id Software-created production, the player will say goodbye to Mars and return to Earth — unfortunately, the DOOM Slayer's home planet is not what is used to be, with thousands of monsters wreaking havoc on the helpless inhabitants of Earth.
While the opening of Eternal is pretty intense, it doesn't mean that the second video is not worth a closer look, as it focuses on some of the powerful weapons and upgrades that will make your time in-game much more enjoyable.
According to Lead Engine Programmer at id Software Billy Khan, DOOM: Eternal is the best video game the American company has ever created. Given that id gave us the original Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Quake games, it's high praise.
With DOOM: Eternal launching next month, be sure to learn more about the game in the two videos down below:
As the DOOM Slayer, you return to find Earth has suffered a demonic invasion. Raze Hell and discover the Slayer’s origins and his enduring mission to rip and tear…until it is done. Experience the ultimate combination of speed and power as you battle your way across dimensions with the next leap in push-forward, first-person combat.
DOOM: ETERNAL will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC (via Steam) on the 20th of March; coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date.
