Blizzard President Seemingly Agrees That WARCRAFT 3: REFORGED Launch Was Nothing Short of a Disaster
WarCraft III: Reforged has managed to break all the wrong records, becoming the worst-reviewed major video game in the history of Metacritic — and it seems that Blizzard is finally willing to acknowledge the terrible situation.
Currently sitting at a truly outstanding 5/100 score on the website, WarCraft III: Reforged clearly isn't the total reimagining of the RTS classic that Blizzard promised fans at BlizzCon 2018, and the company's President J. Allen Brack recently decided to elaborate on some the panned production's issues.
"Concerning Warcraft 3: Reforged, honestly, it's been a bit of a hard week. Our community has come to expect really amazing things from us, and we've heard from them that we did not achieve that bar," Brack said during Activision's Q4 investors call.
Brack then added: "But we stand behind our games, and have consistently shown that not only do we support them, but we continue to build on them even after launch. And we're committed to doing that here as well. We're going to continue to update the game, and we're going to continue to update the community with our plans going forward."
Considering that players who pre-ordered WarCraft III: Reforged — or legally purchased it after its release — can finally get their money back without any problems from Blizzard, chances are that the studio has finally started listening to the fandom's valid feedback (and its legal team) — as the question whether the once-beloved company's recent efforts are a classic case of doing "too little, too late" is still up in the air.
Warcraft III: Reforged is a stunning reimagining of the revolutionary real-time strategy game that laid the foundation for Azeroth’s most epic stories. It is a remake in the truest sense, featuring a thorough visual overhaul, a suite of contemporary social and matchmaking features, and more. Command the Night Elves, Undead, Orcs, and Humans as alliances shift and armies clash in this timeless real-time strategy game.
WarCraft III: Reforged is currently available on PC.
