Airship Syndicate's critically acclaimed hack and slash Darksiders Genesis will finally arrive on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One tomorrow, as the Diablo-like video game shines in an action-packed console launch trailer.
Although many players didn't like the direction that the team at Gunfire Games took 2018's Darksiders III in, the main series' spin-off is an entirely different story. Currently sitting at a sweet 77/100 score on Metacritic, Darksiders Genesis definitely is not only a worthy entry in the Vigil Games-created franchise, but also one of most successful hack and slash production available on the market.
Darksiders Genesis was originally released by THQ Nordic for Google Stadia and PC last December.
While it's rather safe to say that Strife will get his own big-budget adventure at some point in the future, the Horseman of Apocalypse made his debut as a playable character in Darksiders Genesis, allowing the player to wreak havoc as the gun-wielding hero.
Without further ado, be sure to take a look at the second launch trailer for Darksiders Genesis down below:
Darksiders Genesis features the debut of the fourth and final Horseman – Strife– who can battle alongside his brother and fellow Horseman War in the first ever Darksiders two-player co-op mode. Solo players will be able to alternate between Strife and War on the fly, taking advantage of Strife's ranged and War's melee style attacks. Both characters can build up a special attack meter that, when activated, temporarily turns them into a colossal creature that leaves epic destruction in its wake.
Darksiders Genesis is currently available for Google Stadia and PC (via Steam, Origin and Uplay); coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One tomorrow.
