Larian Studios' BALDUR'S GATE III Will Be Released Later This Year According to Google

It's safe to say that the vast majority of RPG fans can't wait to play Baldur's Gate III, and it looks like the Larian Studios-developed production will hit stores much sooner than we originally expected — at least according to the team at Google.

There's no denying that Google Stadia needs more games, especially when it comes to new titles. While Baldur's Gate III probably won't become a system seller — as it's also coming to PC — Stadia's marketing team is clearly believing in the potential of the next big thing from the Divinity: Original Sin creators.

Stadia Team recently revealed some of its plans for 2020, confirming that the threequel will launch this year.

While the notes on Stadia's future focus mostly on smaller video games, the team fortunately didn't forget about the big hitters. "You’re already looking forward to DOOM Eternal, Get Packed, Orcs Must Die! 3, Baldur’s Gate III and many more games coming to Stadia this year," Stadia Team announced.

Given that Larian will reveal new Baldur’s Gate III details on the 27th of February, its release date should be unveiled relatively soon. In the meantime, take a look at the game's announcement trailer down below:

Developed by Larian Studios - the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2, BG3 is the official next adventure in the venerable Baldur's Gate series. The announcement teaser trailer shows a return of a malevolent presence to Baldur's Gate, intent on devouring it from the inside out, corrupting everything that remains in the Forgotten Realms. The fate of the Forgotten Realms lies in your hands.

Baldur's Gate III is coming to PC (via Steam and GOG) and Google Stadia.
