OUTRIDERS: People Can Fly Provides New Information on the Studio's "Most Ambitious Project to Date"

As promised, People Can Fly has revealed brand-new details on the Polish studio's "most ambitious project to date" — and fans of Gears of War, Tom Clancy's The Division and Mass Effect should definitely keep an eye on Outriders.
Created by the core team responsible for Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Fortnite (mostly its co-op campaign, Fortnite: Save the World), Outriders is a huge undertaking for People Can Fly.
At its core, Outriders is a modern looter shooter, as People Can Fly's next big thing will reportedly feature all the things that made Destiny popular — including satisfying loot and deepened character progression — while also adding "an engaging storyline" and advanced character progression to the mix.
Square Enix liked the concept so much that "they would want to make this idea a little bit bigger, and little by little it grew to a lot bigger," Creative Director Bartosz Kmita explained in an interview with Game Informer. "It was two things in parallel. One was the scope of the game, which grew, and the company had to grow too, to fulfill the needs we had for the production at that point." Outriders is currently being made by a team of over 200 people, with 160 developers joining the team in the last few years.
To learn more about the upcoming game, take a look at the official Outriders "Reveal Stream" down below:
OUTRIDERS is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet. With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and desert in the pursuit of a mysterious signal. Combining intense gunplay with violent powers and an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, Outriders offers countless hours of gameplay from one of the finest shooter developers in the industry – People Can Fly.
Outriders is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC (via Steam) Holiday 2020.
