Metro: Redux — the definitive version of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light — is out now on the Switch; available as a boxed edition containing both games and all DLC on one 16GB cart, and also digitally as individual games from the Nintendo e-Shop.
Developed in-house by Ukrainian studio 4A Games over the course of 8 months, the Nintendo Switch version of Metro: Redux features all the little things that made their debut in 2013's Last Light and have been transferred to Metro 2033: Redux, including improved destruction, advanced lighting and dynamic weather.
According to 4A Games, the critically acclaimed Metro: Redux on Nintendo Switch "runs flawlessly at native 720p in handheld mode 1080p when docked – all while maintaining a rock solid 30fps."
What's even better, before starting their "journey from the forgotten catacombs beneath the subway to the desolate wastelands above," players can choose between two playstyles, allowing them to "approach the campaign in a survival horror style or tackle it with the combat skills of a Spartan Ranger."
Publisher Deep Silver has released a special launch trailer for the Switch port of Metro: Redux, so take a look:
