BLOODBORNE 2 Is Reportedly Not Happening Anytime Soon; ELDEN RING May Feature Day/Night Cycle
FromSoftware's next big thing — the co-created by George R.R. Martin (A Game of Thrones) and Hidetaka Miyazaki (Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice) Elden Ring — still is a mysterious title, despite being officially announced nine months ago.
Although we know next to nothing about Elden Ring, insider Omni — who previously debunked false rumors about Great Rune, the Japanese studio's alleged new project — recently revealed new details on the game.
According to Omni, Elden Ring's original setting will be much more dynamic than the grim worlds of Sekiro and the Dark Souls trilogy, with "day/night cycles, lighting, weather, I'll even throw you a bone and say wildlife, enemies out in the open world that change their positioning, both big and small."
"Things that make the world feel like it lives and breathes and doesn't just exist as your playground and while they're relatively minor when looked at as singular elements. You start to take all of these elements and put them together and ultimately what you have is something that again, shares the same DNA as past games, but culminates into something different," the insider added.
That's not all, as Omni also touched upon the long-awaited sequel to Bloodborne, and if he's right, the yet-to-be-announced production is not even in FromSoftware's plans for the foreseeable future. "As of right now, the game isn't in development or in line to be in development. So in the event that a Bloodborne sequel does happen, it's not happening any time soon," he concluded.
Considering that we're talking about unofficial reports, take Omni's revelations with a healthy grain of salt.
