After years of waiting, the Deep Silver–published Iron Harvest will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this September, giving all fans of real-time strategy games the chance to control their own squad of giant dieselpunk mechs.
Developed at King Art, Iron Harvest is set in the 1920+ world, which was originally created by Jakub Różalski.
The Polish painter's take on the interwar period in Central and East Europe has nothing to do with the real events. In his universe, the end of the Great War was just the beginning of a new power struggle between the fictional Polania Republic, Rusviet and Saxony Empire — the three playable factions in Iron Harvest.
In this alternate reality, steampunk machines are fighting alongside the regular infantry, whilst "secret forces are putting everything they can towards destabilization of entire countries" to seize absolute control.
Thanks to the team at GameSpot, we can take a closer look at the unique world of Iron Harvest in nearly 20 minutes of never-before-seen gameplay footage. Without further ado, check out said video down below:
At the dawn of the 20th century, shortly after the end of the Great War, the world is full of secrets and mysteries, of opportunities and challenges. Tradition clashes with scientific and technological progress, while Europe is still recovering from the brutal battles of the World War. Iron Harvest is a real-time strategy game (RTS) set in the alternate reality of 1920+, just after the end of the Great War.
Iron Harvest is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam and GOG) on September 1, 2020.
