Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Those not interested in purchasing the Control Season Pass — priced at $24.99 — to get The Foundation expansion this Wednesday should still look forward to the game's March update, as it will introduce some much-needed features to the base game. That's right, this month's update is launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Epic Games Store on March 26, 2020, and it will be completely free to all Control players.
The March update will unlock a brand-new upgrade to the already existing Shield ability. According to Remedy, the Shield Rush "allows Jesse to charge at her enemies, knocking them back during combat."
Furthermore, the Finnish developer decided that it's time to make the in-game map a bit more readable, but the revamped functionality of the navigation bar is not the only improvement coming with the free update, as Remedy also added the long-desired option to reallocate Ability points using Essence at Control points.
As a reminder, The Foundation focuses on the repercussions of the Astral Plane colliding with our reality.
The fact that Remedy is constantly trying to make the award-winning base game even better is definitely great news for Control fans, and to learn more about the free update, take a look at the trailer down below:
