The Farm 51 In Talks With Global Publisher To Launch Full Version of Online Shooter WORLD WAR 3
The Farm 51 is not planning to abandon its multiplayer military first-person shooter anytime soon, as the Polish game developer is dedicated to supporting World War 3 in the long term — it just needs a strong global publisher to do that.
Last month, The Farm 51 revealed that World War 3 would launch as a finished title at some point between this April and June. To make it possible, the producer has been looking for a "massive global entity, specialising in the online-multiplayer genre" — and the team at The Farm 51 may have just found one.
According to a note to investors that was published this morning, The Farm 51 is in talks with said "massive global entity" for a "strategic partnership." The yet-to-be-revealed company will help the studio not only bring World War 3 to the global market, but also support the battle royale game in the post-launch phase.
As a reminder, The Farm 51's World War 3 has been available on Steam Early Access since October 2018.
Given that the Get Even maker is simultaneously working on the long-awaited Chernobylite, the studio surely has a lot on its plate. Only the future will tell if The Farm 51 is not biting off more than it can chew.
World War 3 is a multiplayer military FPS set in a modern, global conflict. Strong teamplay, national armed forces, real locations, full body awareness and a versatile customization system all contribute to the authenticity of the modern combat experience enhanced by other essential elements such as a robust ballistic system, advanced armors and life-like weapons.
World War 3 is currently available on Steam Early Access.
