SUPER MARIO GALAXY and Several Other MARIO Games Will Reportedly Release on Switch in 2020
According to the latest reports, Nintendo is planning to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros with some pretty unexpected titles, including a Nintendo Switch port of Super Mario Galaxy and a new entry in the Paper Mario series.
As reported by the teams at Eurogamer and Video Games Chronicle, 2007's Super Mario Galaxy is certainly coming to Switch in 2020, while a sequel to 2016's Paper Mario: Color Splash is apparently also in the works.
That's not even all, as Video Games Chronicle's Andy Robinson is reporting that "Nintendo will also release several other Mario titles in 2020," as "most of Mario’s back catalogue will be remastered for Switch."
Chances are that a Deluxe version of 2013's Super Mario 3D World will hit stores sometime this year as well.
Furthermore, Nintendo was allegedly planning to announce those new and old Mario video games at 2020's E3 in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the coronavirus outbreak has clearly ruined the Japanese company's schedule and "Nintendo is now reviewing its plans in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic."
Given that both Eurogamer and Video Games Chronicle have a proven track record, Nintendo should reveal some brand-new Mario games — and several remasters of the old ones — in the next couple of months.
