2011's CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 3 Might Also Get the Remaster Treatment Down the Line

The long-rumoured Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Remastered hasn't even launched yet — but you can watch its campaign on YouTube right now — and a new report claims that Activision is already working on a new version of 2011's CoD: MW3.

According to YouTuber The Gaming Revolution — who had leaked countless concrete details on last year's CoD: Modern Warfare long before the team at Activision even officially presented the shooter to the public (and you can watch the aforementioned MW2: Remastered playthrough on his own channel at this very moment) — MW3: Remastered "has been getting worked on for a while now."

Considering that both MW: Remastered and the yet-to-be-revealed MW2: Remastered were made at Raven Software and Beenox (and it looks like the 2009 title's solo campaign was reimagined by the latter studio), chances are that the third remaster is also being developed at the Spider-Man: Edge of Time company.

Unfortunately, it's safe to say that neither MW2: Remastered nor MW3: Remastered will feature any multiplayer modes, as Activision reportedly doesn't want to divide its fanbase, with CoD: Modern Warfare and the record-breaking CoD: Warzone being the publisher's main focus when it comes to online play.

While we're waiting for Activision's next moves, take a look at MW2: Remastered's leaked trailer down below:
