Joel McHale's Johnny Cage Meets the Team in First MORTAL KOMBAT LEGENDS: SCORPION'S REVENGE Clip

The first clip for Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge has been released online, putting the spotlight on Joel McHale's Johnny Cage as he's trying to learn more about the ancient tournament between the champions of Outworld and Earthrealm. As a friendly reminder, WB. Animation's next project will be Rated R.

In the clip, the talkative actor encounters Lui Kang (voiced by Jordan Rodrigues), Sonya Blade (Jennifer Carpenter), and Lord Raiden (David B. Mitchell), who attempts to explain why Shang Tsung and his deadly hordes must be defeated before the villain unleashes all sorts of terrible monsters upon both worlds.

Fans of the long-running game series should be more than happy to hear that Sub-Zero, Quan Chi, Kano, Jax Briggs, Goro, Kitana, and Scorpion (duh) will all play a role in Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge.

The movie is directed by Ethan Spaulding (Batman: Assault on Arkham, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis), as Jeremy Adams (Supernatural, Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans) is responsible for the animated movie's script.

Without further ado, take a closer look at the aforementioned clip for WB.'s Scorpion's Revenge down below:

After the vicious slaughter of his family by stone-cold mercenary Sub-Zero, Hanzo Hasashi is exiled to the torturous Netherrealm. There, in exchange for his servitude to the sinister Quan Chi, he’s given a chance to avenge his family – and is resurrected as Scorpion, a lost soul bent on revenge. Back on Earthrealm, Lord Raiden gathers a team of elite warriors – Shaolin monk Liu Kang, Special Forces officer Sonya Blade and action star Johnny Cage – an unlikely band of heroes with one chance to save humanity. To do this, they must defeat Shang Tsung’s horde of Outworld gladiators and reign over the Mortal Kombat tournament. Prepare to witness the bone-crushing action in this all-new Mortal Kombat Legends animated feature!

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge will arrive on Digital starting April 12, and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on April 28, 2020.
