Square Enix's FINAL FANTASY VII: REMAKE Gets a "Final" Trailer, and It’s Filled With Major Spoilers

If there's one company that loves spoiling its games in trailers and other promotional material, it has to be Square Enix — and if you don't want to know what happens in Final Fantasy VII: Remake, better stay away from its story-heavy "final' trailer. What's actually hilarious, even the video's thumbnail is a major spoiler.
Thankfully, the long-delayed reimagining of the 1997 classic will be available for PlayStation 4 next Friday.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Square Enix is shipping physical copies of the jRPG early to the European and Australian markets, so chances are that some players can purchase the game's boxed edition right now.
As a reminder, Final Fantasy VII: Remake is only the first chapter of the so-called Final Fantasy VII: Remake Project (yes, the video game's title is "a little bit" misleading). Although long-awaited first instalment ends almost exactly where the original's second act begins, it reportedly is jam-packed with brand-new content.
Wait no more, and take a look at the SPOILER-y "final" trailer for Final Fantasy VII: Remake down below:
The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him. The story of this first, standalone game in the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE project covers up to the party’s escape from Midgar, and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the original FINAL FANTASY VII.
Final Fantasy VII: Remake is coming to PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020.
