UNCHARTED Voice Actor Nolan North Doesn't Think Mark Wahlberg Should Play Sully in Movie

During a recent episode of Retro Replay, two award-winning Uncharted voice actors had the chance to talk more about the troubled movie adaptation of the game series — and none of them seemed to be too excited about the flick. Fortunately for them, chances are that Uncharted won't start shooting anytime soon.
Fans of the series probably know who Nolan North and Troy Baker are, but for those unfamiliar with the renowned duo, North has voiced Nathan Drake in every single Uncharted video game since 2007's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, while Baker lent his voice to Samuel Drake in 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
"I think the fact that they are gonna make it [The Last of Us] a series is way better than making a movie out of anything," North said, "I think having the guy who did Chernobyl [executive producer Craig Mazin] is the frigging elephant in the room that you need to get things done. I'm more excited about that — I gotta be honest — than I am about an Uncharted movie. I love Mark Wahlberg, but I don’t see him as Sully. I just don’t see that as Sully.”
Baker then added: “I don’t see that thing [the aforementioned Uncharted movie] happening at all.”
Given that the Uncharted film has lost six directors since its reveal in the early 2010s and missed a good couple of release windows, it's obvious that the live-action Drake has even less luck than the virtual hero.
