New FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Dev Diary Has Been Released Ahead of Tomorrow's Launch

The long-delayed reimagining of Final Fantasy VII is finally coming to PlayStation 4 tomorrow, giving players the chance to experience one of the most beautiful stories the industry has even produced with visuals that are stunning and immersive. As a reminder, the SquareSoft-developed original hit stores back in 1997.

Although Final Fantasy VII Remake was officially announced at Sony's E3 2015 media briefing, the first wave of reviews for the title suggests that it's worth the wait. Sitting at a fantastic 87% score on Metacritic, the fast-approaching project is one of the best-reviewed games of the year and an early GOTY contender.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the production is currently available in Australia and Europe.

To make the wait easier for those who haven't purchased their copy of Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Square has released the fourth entry in the title's dev diary series, this time focusing on the music and sound effects.

With Final Fantasy VII Remake launching tomorrow, learn more about the jRPG in the video down below:

The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him. The story of this first, standalone game in the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE project covers up to the party’s escape from Midgar, and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the original FINAL FANTASY VII.

Final Fantasy VII: Remake is coming to PlayStation 4 tomorrow.
