THE WITCHER Universe Comes to Life in Awesome VFX Breakdown for Netflix's Hit TV Series
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Category: Netflix's The Witcher
Due to the ongoing pandemic, production on the second season of Netflix's The Witcher has been halted — fortunately, Platige Image has just released an all-new VFX breakdown for the first eight episodes, and it should make the wait a little bit easier. Sadly, there are no clear answers to when the shooting will resume.
For those unfamiliar with Platige Image, the award-winning Warsaw studio has had the chance to work on the biggest cinematic trailers for countless game series, including Tom Clancy's The Division, Dying Light, Final Fantasy and Dishonored. Platige's The Cathedral short film was even nominated for an Oscar in 2002.
According to the studio, 150 artists were working on the first season of The Witcher at Platige Image alone.
"Working on the Netflix series was a great adventure for all of us. We would like to thank the team, partnering VFX studios and production supervisor Julian Parry for the amazing work," Platige said.
