Riot Games Is Seemingly Working On Mobile Port of Its Record-Breaking Hero Shooter VALORANT

Although Valorant hasn't even launched yet, it seems that the team at Riot Games — the studio responsible for League of Legends — is already hard at work on a mobile port of its highly popular take on the so-called hero shooter genre. Considering that Overwatch is not coming to mobile platforms anytime soon, the decision to bring Valorant to iOS and Android would definitely give the title an edge over its biggest rival.

The discovery of Valorant's mobile edition was made Reddit user Spacixr, who recently tried playing the game on his laptop in tablet mode. To everyone's surprise, it turns out that after enabling the mode, the HUD changes in a major way, with huge icons and mobile controls taking up almost the entire screen.

Obviously, it doesn't necessarily mean that Valorant is going to get a full-blown mobile edition, but chances are that Riot Games has been playing with the interface to make it more mobile-friendly for good reason.

As a reminder, all Valorant streamers can now drop the coveted beta access keys, meaning that potential newcomers have a bigger shot at joining the ongoing round of testing by watching Valorant on Twitch.

The aforementioned drops happen at all times, but only for players in Europe, Canada, United States, Turkey, Russia and CIS countries. The full version of Valorant is expected to release on PC sometime this summer.

Imagine this: tactical shooter meets hypernatural powers. Everyone’s got guns and a unique set of abilities, so how do you beat someone with the speed of wind? Use your own moves to outplay them and beat them to the shot. VALORANT is a game for bold strategists who dare to make the unexpected play, because if it wins, it works.

Valorant is coming to PC this summer.
