Birds of Prey (And One Harley Quinn) Invade DC UNIVERSE ONLINE in Action-Packed Trailer

DC Universe Online may have been released back in 2011, but Daybreak Game Company is not planning to abandon the ever-evolving MMO anytime soon — as Birds of Prey and Harley Quinn are coming to the free-to-play production today. The core team's line-up includes Black Canary, Huntress, Catwoman & Poison Ivy.

The event is available to all players who have hit level 15 (or above) for a limited time. The episode's story is focused on the crew's attempt to stop Lex Luthor and his crazy plans to turn Metropolis into a battlefield.

"The Birds of Prey has always been a strong, female-led team of kickass Super Heroes," Ted Stone, Senior Community Manager at developer Dimensional Ink Games, recently explained on the PlayStation Blog. "Generally lacking the more convenient Superpowers like invulnerability or super strength or flight, the team relies on their martial skills, intelligence, and can’t-stop-us attitude to get the job done together. Following tech-guru and genius-hacker Oracle (Barbara Gordon, previously Batgirl), their diverse strengths come together with an unshakable moral compass to save the day."

According to the Austin-based studio, players will bump into Black Canary, Harley Quinn, Huntress, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman throughout the episode, so fans of Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) should keep an eye on the ongoing DC Universe Online crossover.
