STREETS OF RAGE 4 Is Heading to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC Later This Month

After weeks of waiting, publisher Dotemu has finally confirmed that the fourth entry in Sega's classic Streets of Rage game series will release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam and GOG) on the 30th of April. The fast-approaching beat’em up title will be priced at $24.99 on digital storefronts.

Considering that it's been over 25 years since the last major Streets of Rage production — the threequel hit stores in 1994 — the fact that Streets of Rage 4 launches in 13 days will surely make longtime fans happy.

As a reminder, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is also coming to Xbox One and PC on April 30, but it's safe to say that these two video games are created for different audiences.

Quite surprisingly, the beloved Battle Mode will return in Streets of Rage 4. For those unfamiliar with the original trilogy, this "feud-settling battleground is bound to help rivals recognize who truly is Wood Oak City’s finest alley-clearing ruffian, as well as settle grudges spurred by accidental friendly strikes during multiplayer sessions." It will feature eight distinct arenas, playable in versus and team modes.

To celebrate the release date announcement, the team at Dotemu has shared online an action-packed gameplay trailer for the long-awaited Streets of Rage 4, so be sure to check it out down below:

Amongst the best beat’em up series ever created, jammin’ ‘90s beats and over the top street fighting, the iconic series Streets of Rage comes back with a masterful tribute to and revitalization of the classic action fans adore.

Streets of Rage 4 is coming PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam and GOG) on April 30, 2020.
