THQ Nordic's DESPERADOS III Will Be Available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC This June

The highly anticipated prequel to the critically acclaimed real-time strategy game Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is officially coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (only via Steam) on the 16th of June, THQ Nordic has announced. The fast-approaching production is available for pre-order now on PC at $49.99.

Desperados III is being developed at Munich-based Mimimi Games, the makers of the award-winning Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, which is currently sitting at a truly fantastic 85% on Metacritic.

Considering that it's been 14 years since the last Desperados title — Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge — it will be interesting to see if fans of John Cooper are still interested in revisiting the Spellbound-created series.

Speaking of Cooper, THQ Nordic has released a brand-new trailer for Desperados III, putting the spotlight on the special abilities of the bounty hunter and his team, including "the runaway bride Kate, the shady hitman Doc McCoy, the giant trapper Hector, and Isabelle, a mysterious lady from New Orleans."

While we're still waiting for more details on Desperados III, check out its latest gameplay trailer down below:

Desperados III is a story-driven, hardcore tactical stealth game, set in a ruthless Wild West scenario. Play smart if you want to succeed. A good plan can make the difference between survival and finding yourself at the business end of a pistol.

Desperados III will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 16, 2020.
