BATTLEFIELD V Post-Launch Phase Ends This Summer; Last Big Content Drop Arrives Soon
EA has just revealed some new details on the upcoming Battlefield V DLC (known as Chapter 6), and it looks like the company is ready to move on from the Battlefield 1 sequel, as the fast-approaching expansion will be the game's last big content drop. DICE is hoping to showcase the DLC in May and release it in June.
Unfortunately, the global pandemic may force EA to delay the DLC, as DICE is "still tackling the challenges from working from home and will let you know how things progress for us over the next month."
According to DICE, the expansion will introduce plenty of new content, including never-before-seen weekly rewards (which will give you a chance to unlock gear you may have missed) and events (the studio is also planning "various weekly initiatives such as the reintroduction of #FridayNightBattlefield servers").
Considering that EA's divisive first-person shooter has only one major DLC left, fans of the game should realise that getting both Normandy and Eastern Front–themed maps is virtually impossible at this point.
As a reminder, DICE's award-winning series will return at some point between April 2021 and March 2022.
