GHOST OF TSUSHIMA and THE LAST OF US PART II Will Be Released for PlayStation 4 This Summer
Sony has just announced that both Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part II will hit stores this summer — as Naughty Dog's next opus magnum will arrive on the 19th of June, with Sucker Punch's new IP coming to PlayStation 4 on the 17th of July. Although Ghost of Tsushima was supposed to make its debut on June 26, the Bellevue-based developer will definitely not waste the added time to polish its biggest title to date.
"As our teams at Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios approach development milestones and confront a world changed by COVID-19, we find ourselves having to adapt to today’s ever-changing environment," Head of Sony Worldwide Studios Hermen Hulst said on the PlayStation Blog.
"I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it’s not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances. Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can’t wait to see what you think of them when they release in just a few short months," Hulst added.
Earlier this month, Sony confirmed that The Last of Us Part II would miss its scheduled May launch window (the title's first release date was February 21), so let's hope the game's third launch day will be the final one.
With The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima having new release dates, we should learn a lot more about both PS4-exclusive games in the near future (and no, we're not planning to cover yesterday's leak).
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors.
The Last of Us Part II is coming to PlayStation 4 on June 19, 2020.

Ghost of Tsushima is coming to PlayStation 4 on July 17, 2020.
