Nintendo has some pretty sweet news for fans of 2010's Deadly Premonition, as the horror game's long-awaited sequel — officially titled Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise — is coming to Nintendo Switch on the 10th of July, 2020. The production will be released on the same day as Codemasters' F1 2020.
Just like the beloved original, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise will be focused on special agent Francis York Morgan's mission to track down a vicious serial killer, this time in the fictional town of Le Carré.
Produced by the original creator team — with Hidetaka Suehiro (known as Swery) returning to direct — the story takes place in a "small town in New Orleans which was created based on research and interviews."
According to Nintendo, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise technically is an interquel, which means that it will shed new light on Morgan's past, while he's still trying to solve a complicated case in the present.
If you haven't played the first game yet, Deadly Premonition Origins is 50% off on Nintendo Switch eShop until the 17th of May.
