Long-Delayed HELLRAID Returns as DYING LIGHT DLC; Coming to PS4, XBO and PC This Summer

It seems that the development team at Techland is not planning to abandon 2015's Dying Light anytime soon — even with its sequel on the horizon — as the open-world game will receive a huge expansion at some point this summer. Quite surprisingly, the fast-approaching Dying Light DLC is titled... Hellraid.
You read it right, the Polish studio's unreleased first-person slasher will make a return as an all-new game mode in Dying Light. Considering that Dying Light tries to be as realistic and grounded as possible, the idea to merge the completely outlandish fantasy game with Dying Light may seem pretty bizarre at first glance.
To make it possible, Techland has taken a page out of Jumanji's playbook. In the DLC, players will enter an in-game arcade game. The expansion's premise is simple: "It all started with an arcade machine survivors found in the Tower’s basement while investigating an odd power outage. None of them could remember seeing this strange device ever before. They moved it upstairs, unaware of its true nature."
According to Techland, the Dying Light - Hellraid content drop will allow players to "explore a new dungeon area, arm yourself with brand-new weapons, and face vicious enemies straight from the depths of Hell. Tackle this fresh challenge alone or join forces with your friends for a thrilling co-op."
Without further ado, take a look at the reimagined Hellraid in the latest Dying Light trailer down below:
