FROSTPUNK and THIS WAR OF MINE Creators Are Planning to Publish 10 Video Games by 2024
Warsaw-based 11 bit studios — the award-winning masterminds behind Anomaly: Warzone Earth, This War of Mine, and Frostpunk — is officially planning to release ten games by 2024, with only three of them being produced in-house. That's right, the studio's publishing arm is going to expand its reach in the near future.
In an interview yesterday with the Polish Press Agency — Poland's national news agency — 11 bit studios CEO Grzegorz Miechowski revealed that the company's new release strategy will allow its three internal teams to finish their yet-to-be-revealed games — including the mysterious Project 8 — at their own pace.
Considering that the 11 bit studios–published Children of Morta, Moonlighter and Beat Cop are not only critically acclaimed, but also best-selling indie games, it shouldn't be surprising that the Polish company is hoping to release seven third-party productions (at the very least) in the next two or three years.
Although 11 bit studios' new games won't hit stores anytime soon, the company's financial situation is excellent — thanks to the publisher's back catalogue, which has proven to be its source of steady income.
11 bit studios is also not planning to abandon its latest hit — Frostpunk — as the RTS will receive its final expansion — titled Project TVADGYCGJR — at some point this summer, possibly on the 30th of July, 2020.
