Sequel to Last Year's SNIPER GHOST WARRIOR: CONTRACTS Will Be Announced This Summer
Back in January, CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński announced that a sequel to Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts would hit stores at some point this year — and it looks like the Polish developer and publisher is slowly getting ready to talk more about the new FPS. Although the fast-approaching video game's official title hasn't been confirmed just yet, let's just call it Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 for the time being.
In a recent interview with ISBtech, CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński revealed that the Warsaw-based studio is planning to reveal some brand-new details on Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 sometime this summer.
According to Tymiński, Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 will also introduce a completely new gameplay mechanism. While we'll have to wait a little longer to learn more about that mysterious feature, apparently it's something players "have been asking for and would love to see in a sniper game" (translated by GX).
It's just a wild guess, but a full-blown two-player co-op mode would definitely make longtime fans of the long-running Sniper Ghost Warrior series more than happy. Considering that all the current-gen Sniper Elite games offer great co-op play experiences (for up to four players in the recently released Zombie Army 4: Dead War), a polished co-op campaign could help the franchise grow in today's crowded marketplace.
Since its debut in November, over 575 thousand copies of Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts have been sold worldwide, allowing CI Games to work not only on its sequel, but also the troubled Lords of the Fallen 2.
