Critically Acclaimed THE WALKING DEAD: SAINTS & SINNERS Launches for PlayStation VR Today
After months of waiting, the PlayStation VR version of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is launching today, giving players the chance to determine the fate of war-torn — and maybe even more importantly, zombie-infested — New Orleans. For some reason, publisher Skydance Interactive still hasn't confirmed this fact, but you can purchase the role-playing title's PS VR edition on PlayStation Store right now, for $39.99.
Back in April, Skydance announced that the team would be working their hardest to get "Saints & Sinners out to you on PSVR this Spring. We appreciate all of your ongoing support, excitement and patience during this time," so fans should be happy to hear that the developer successfully fulfilled that promise.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners debuted in January. Sitting at a great 81% score on Metacritic, the game still is one of the highest-rated VR productions in history, at least when it comes to big-budget titles.
According to the studio, New Orleans is the main playground of two clashing factions: the Tower and the Reclaimed. While the Tower is all about the rule of (their) law, the other faction believes that living in a world free of the rules of the past is the right direction — so it's up to you to choose between safety and freedom.
As a reminder, the critically acclaimed video game's Oculus Quest version is slated for "later this year." Be sure to take a closer look at the insanely brutal world of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners down below:
Saints & Sinners is a game unlike any other in The Walking Dead universe. Every challenge you face and decision you make is driven by YOU. Fight the undead, scavenge through the flooded ruins of New Orleans, and face gut-wrenching choices for you and the other survivors. Live The Walking Dead's dark drama in your own skin.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is out now; compatible with the Valve Index, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR headsets; the Oculus Quest version will launch later this year.
