CD Projekt Red Reveals 'Night City Wire' — New CYBERPUNK 2077-Inspired Event Scheduled for June 11

This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles has been cancelled — due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic — but it won't stop CD Projekt Red from showcasing the fast-approaching Cyberpunk 2077 early next month. That's right, the Polish studio will organise its own mini-event in June.
The brand-new Night City Wire event is scheduled for the 11th of June (funnily enough, it would be the last day of E3 2020 under normal circumstances). Sadly, that's everything we know so far about the presentation.
Considering that the long-delayed Deus Ex-esque (!) production was showcased during both E3 2018 and E3 2019, the fact that the team at CD Projekt will single-handedly (well, PC Gamer and Electronic Arts will also organise their own gaming shows in June) try to keep the tradition alive is definitely worth admiring.
As a friendly reminder, Cyberpunk 2077 is a cross-gen project that is also coming to Xbox Series X — so chances are that we won't have to wait until June to learn more about the long-awaited game, as Microsoft will shed some light on third-party games during Inside Xbox on Thursday, May 7th at 11 am ET.
For those unfamiliar with Cyberpunk 2077, Night City is a fictional location and the main setting of the CD Projekt Red–developed behemoth. Take a look at the upcoming event's promotional artwork down below:

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you. Become a cyberpunk, an urban mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements and build your legend on the streets of Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC (via Steam, GOG and the EGS) on the 17th of September.
