F1 2020 Shines in First Gameplay Footage as Codemasters Is Teasing New Entry in DIRT Series

Considering that F1 2020 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC on the 10th of July, it comes as no surprise that Codemasters is really starting to roll out its marketing campaign for its next racing game. Thanks to the first F1 2020 gameplay trailer, we can take a look at one of its two new tracks.

According to the studio, Circuit Zandvoort is "steeped (if you’ll pardon our pun) in history, becoming an official part of the F1 calendar in 1952, and holding grands prix until 1985. 2020 is the year it makes its hugely anticipated return, and we can’t wait to race on it virtually, before the real-life cars do."

It looks like the fast-appraching F1 2020 is not the only major project Codemasters is currently working on, as the Southam-based company has seemingly started teasing a new entry in the long-running Dirt series.

Although Codemasters is slowly ending support for DiRT Rally 2.0, the studio is already thinking about its next big thing. "Prepare to see something new roar to life in the world of DiRT, very soon," Social Media Manager PJ Tierney explained on the game's website. "Developed by a separate Codemasters studio to the DiRT Rally team, we’re incredibly excited about what’s around the corner. We invite you to be part of a brand new experience, while also continuing to enjoy our definitive Rally offering."

While we're still waiting for more details on a sequel to DiRT Rally 2.0, take a look at its logo down below:

F1 2020 is the most comprehensive F1 game yet, putting players firmly in the driving seat as they race against the best drivers in the world. For the first time, players can create their own F1 team by creating a driver, then choosing a sponsor, an engine supplier, hiring a teammate and competing as the 11th team on the grid. Build facilities, develop the team over time and drive to the top.

F1 2020 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC (via Steam) on July 10, 2020.
