NetherRealm Studios — the team behind Mortal Kombat and Injustice: Gods Among Us — has announced that some new details on the future of the studio's latest production — Mortal Kombat 11 — will be shared tomorrow, at 6AM PT. Although the game debuted in March 2019, it seems that its journey is not over yet.
"The Epic Saga Continues" tagline featured in the game's latest teaser suggests that the studio is working on a major story DLC for Mortal Kombat 11, and maybe is even planning to introduce some all-new fighters.
Considering that the Todd McFarlane–created Spawn joined the roster in March — with Bruce Campbell's Ash J. Williams possibly also coming to Mortal Kombat 11 (but this information hasn't been confirmed yet) — chances are that NetherRealm won't stop supporting the award-winning fighting game anytime soon.
As a reminder, the aforementioned Spawn was the last fighter to invade the gruesome world of Mortal Kombat 11 as a DLC character (alongside Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, the Terminator and the Joker).
