PARADISE LOST: Cinematic Trailer for Thriller Set in Post-Apocalyptic Poland Has Landed

With the Fallout franchise being turned into a running joke (sorry, Fallout 76 fans), developer PolyAmorous' Paradise Lost will try to channel the spirit of Interplay Entertainment's classic titles in a more mature manner.

Although Paradise Lost was announced as a current-gen production — which has been in the works at least since December 2018 — the plan has changed, with the project now coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC at some point this year. Considering that PolyAmorous is based in Warsaw, it shouldn't be surprising that its debut title takes places in Poland — but in an alternative reality where Germany "won" World War II.

Actually, the war has never ended in the cold Paradise Lost universe. After dropping countless atomic bombs on Poland's biggest cities, The Third Reich also perished in a nuclear holocaust — with the lone survivors of the apocalypse desperately trying to find a means of survival in a completely ruined, frozen Central Europe.

In Paradise Lost, the player will take on the role of a 12-year old boy and embark on a bone-chilling journey to uncover "the mysteries of an abandoned bunker where dark secrets are held." According to the team, Paradise features a "unique twist on the post-apo genre, with its setting characterized by a mixture of technology and Slavic-pagan aesthetic, against a background of profound human emotions."

Without further ado, take a closer look at the post-apocalyptic Poland in the cinematic trailer down below:
