Brutal Shooter RUINER Gets Stylish Trailer Ahead of Tomorrow's Release on Nintendo Switch

Publisher DevolverDigital has officially announced that Ruiner — Reikon Games' original isometric shooter set in a cyberpunk world — will finally make its debut on Nintendo Switch tomorrow, on the 18th of June.

At its core, Ruiner is a brutal shooter that gives the player a chance to play as a desperate maniac. While it doesn't sound too good on paper, the protagonist's pulse-pounding quest is relatively simple (and quite touching if you think about it) — saving his loved ones and destroying a corrupt system one step at a time.

To bring down the authoritarian regime, the unlikely hero will have to put his amazing skills and abilities to good use, including inhumanly fast reflexes, augmented tools, and the powerful weapons of his enemies.

Quite interestingly, Ruiner's OST contains tracks created by quite a varied group of renowned artists such as Sidewalks & Skeletons, Zamilska, Antigone & Francois X, DJ Alina, and Susumu Hirasawa (Paprika, Berserk).

As a friendly reminder, the team at Reikon Games is already developing its next big thing, which will also be a rather grim tale with some strong cyberpunk aesthetics and themes. While we're still patiently waiting for more details on that mysterious title, take a closer look at the latest gameplay trailer for Ruiner down below:

RUINER is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. A wired psychopath lashes out against a corrupt system to uncover the truth and retrieve his kidnapped brother under the guidance of a secretive hacker friend.

Ruiner is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store); coming to Nintendo Switch tomorrow.
