French developer and publisher Microids has confrimed that the highly anticipated reimagining of 2003's first-person shooter XIII will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 10.
For those unfamiliar with the fan-favourite original, XIII was primarily developed by the team at Ubisoft Paris (the makers of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Solider, Wildlands, and Breakpoint) as an adaptation of the award-winning graphic novel of the same name written by Belgian artist Jean Van Hamme back in 1984.
The new version of XIII is being developed by PlayMagic, a relatively young studio based in Malta and Kiev.
According to the publisher, the fast-approaching XIII remake will be faithful to the beloved source material while also "aiming to please the most sophisticated gamers of today. Players will also be delighted to know the team was able to remaster the original game soundtrack and the actors’ voices."
With the remake launching in November, we will definitely learn a whole lot more about the all-new edition of XIII in the coming months. In the meantime, take a closer look at its first gameplay trailer down below:
XIII is a remake of the cult first-person action game that was initially released in 2003. You play as “XIII”, a man without an identity, in a solo campaign with numerous twists and turns. Inspired by the eponymous graphic novel, the game features a completely reinvented and unique cel-shading design. In XIII, players can also take part in fierce multi-player fights.
XIII is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and GOG) on the 10th of November.
