Following the sales success of Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts, Warsaw-based CI Games has announced a full-blown sequel to 2019's first-person shooter, which will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this fall.
According to the press release, Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as the long-awaited machines' launch title (and it's safe to say that it will support XSX's Smart Delivery feature). As a reminder, both consoles are expected to hit stores as some point this holiday season.
Just like previous Sniper Ghost Warrior games, the upcoming production is powered by Crytek's CryEngine.
Although we know next to nothing about Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2, CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński recently revealed that the sequel would introduce some surprising mechanics, so there's a chance that the fast-approaching title will be playable in co-op — which would definitely make many fans more than happy.
It's worth remembering that Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 is not the only video game the Polish studio is working on, as the company is still trying to get the long-delayed Lords of the Fallen sequel off the ground.
With Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts 2 launching later this year, CI Games will surely share new details on the FPS in the coming months. In the meantime, take a closer look at the project's first key art down below:
