Unique World of GHOST OF TSUSHIMA Comes to Life in Never-Before-Seen Concept Art

Sucker Punch has released a brand-new batch of concept art for Ghost of Tsushima, putting the spotlight on the fast-approaching PlayStation 4 exclusive's magnificent locations and main character — samurai Jin Sakai.
Unlike Sucker Punch's Infamous games, Ghost of Tsushima won't be set in an aggressively greyish, samey-looking city. Instead, the upcoming sandbox will give you a chance to embark on a dangerous adventure and freely explore the titular island of Tsushima to stop the fearsome Mongol Empire from invading Japan.
During the quest to save his homeland, Sakai will visit not only forgotten temples and picturesque villages, but also enemy camps — and it's safe to say that the lone hero's negotiations with the Mongols won't be easy, allowing the protagonist to channel his inner Ghost and avenge his fallen loved ones and friends.
Considering that Ghost of Tsushima will make its long-delayed debut on July 17, Sony and Sucker Punch will definitely reveal even more new trailers and images for the last big PS4 exclusive in the coming days.
While we're patiently waiting for Ghost of Tsushima, take a closer look at the aforementioned concept art for the Bellevue-based video game developer's first big project since 2014's Infamous: Second Son down below:
The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan—until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But honorable tactics won’t lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting—the way of the Ghost—as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan.
Ghost of Tsushima is coming to PlayStation 4 on July 17, 2020.
