HYPER SCAPE Is Ubisoft's First Big-Budget Battle Royale Game With Twitch Integration

It looks like Ubisoft is finally ready to jump on the evergreen battle royale bandwagon, as the Rainbow Six studio's brand-new multiplayer shooter — titled Hyper Scape —  will be officially announced this Thursday.

The French publisher's original answer to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty: Warzone will bring something completely new to the table, as it will allow Twitch users to "directly impact the game live with game-changing events," at least according to insider Rod 'Slasher' Breslau.

The free-to-play production is being created at Ubisoft Montreal, the makers of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Code-named Prisma Dimensions, the FPS is nearly finished and will make its PC debut on the 12th of July, with its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions launching at a later date.

As a reminder, the long-awaited Ubisoft Forward event will also take place on July 12, 2020, so there's a chance that the publisher was actually planning to shadow drop the multiplayer title Apex Legends–style.

The official Hyper Scape website also reveals some brand-new details on the shooter's setting, as players should get ready to "drop into the neon-drenched streets of the world’s premiere virtual city, Neo Arcadia. You'll want to hit the ground running, as you’ll need every advantage you can find to give yourself a leg up on the competition. Only the best contenders will make it to the final showdown."
