CYBERPUNK 2077 Protagonist Desperately Needs a (New) Hand on the Cover of Game Informer
This month's Game Informer is focused on CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 — and if you would like to learn more about its world and key players, you should definitely keep an eye on the new issue of the magazine.
According to Game Informer, they recently spoke with the developers about "the game-creation process, and uncovered the motivations for why the game is built the way it is. We also interviewed franchise creator Mike Pondsmith about the origins of the Cyberpunk tabletop game and what sets this science-fiction world apart from others. Cyberpunk 2077 is [...] a big game with such a lengthy series history that two of our writers – Kimberley Wallace and Matt Miller – worked together to co-write the article, bringing their distinct perspectives from multiple separate playthroughs of the early hours of the game." All of this, and more (including original screenshots), spread across 14 pages of the latest issue.
Considering that Cyberpunk 2077 will finally make its long-delayed debut this November, CD Projekt will surely share new details on its opus magnum in the near future. As a friendly reminder, last week's Night City Wire event brought us fresh information about the title's plot, NPCs, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a brand-new TV series set the beloved Mike Pondsmith–created world that will premiere on Netflix in 2022.
Although it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, the game's official website seems to suggest that CD Projekt is planning to showcase Cyberpunk 2077 during at least two more Night City Wire livestreams, with one possibly airing in August, and the other at some point in October, a month before the project's launch day.
Without further ado, take a closer look at the Cyberpunk 2077–themed Game Informer cover down below:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you. Become a cyberpunk, an urban mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements and build your legend on the streets of Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and the EGS) on the 19th of November; coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X this holiday season; will arrive on Google Stadia before the end of the year.
