BETTER CALL SAUL's Giancarlo Esposito Reportedly Plays a Role in Next FAR CRY Game
Although nothing has been officially confirmed yet, Gamereactor UK has revealed that Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian) will play a key role in Ubisoft's long-rumoured sequel to 2018's Far Cry 5.
According to a now-deleted article posted by Gamereactor earlier today, Esposito stars in Far Cry 6, basically putting an end to the "Call of Duty 2020" speculation. As a reminder, the discussion was sparked by a recent Collider interview where the actor himself briefly discussed his role in a yet-to-be-announced video game.
In April, Michael Mando — who played Vaas Montenegro in Far Cry 3 — unexpectedly teased his potential return to the explosive franchise, so there's a small chance that the sixth numbered entry in the open-world series will actually be a full-blown reunion of two award-winning members of the Better Call Saul cast.
Far Cry 6 has not been announced yet, but various insiders have already spilled the beans on the upcoming title. Reportedly, the game is set in Mexico and heavily influenced by Netflix's Narcos TV show. Furthermore, the shooter allegedly gives you a chance to master your horseback riding skills and fulfil your dream (?) of becoming a drug dealer. Apparently, the new sandbox is coming to PS4, PS5, XBO, XSX, and PC in Q1 2021.
Considering that Ubisoft's E3-like event will take place next Sunday, it's safe to say that we'll learn a whole lot more about Far Cry 6 in the near future. In the meantime, take a look at the show's teaser down below:
