KINGDOMS OF AMALUR: RE-RECKONING Gets Intense Cinematic Trailer; FATESWORN DLC Launches in 2021

Publisher THQ Nordic has shared some new details on the recently revealed remaster of one of the most overlooked role-playing games of the past decade — titled Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning — that will officially arrive on September 8, 2020. As a reminder, the title is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

To celebrate the release date's announcement, THQ Nordic has released an action-packed cinematic trailer, putting the spotlight on a lone hero's uneven battle against a group of ancient monsters, known as Niskaru.

Fans of the 2012 hit should be happy to hear that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is being developed by the team at Kaiko, the Frankfurt-based company responsible for 2016's Darksiders Warmastered Edition and 2015's Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition. Although Kaiko is currently focusing on the reimagined version of Big Huge Games' ambitious RPG, the German studio is also working on the upcoming remake's all-new DLC.

According to THQ Nordic, Fatesworn will be released sometime next year and introduce some never-before-seen quests and features. Unfortunately, that's everything we know about the expansion for the time being.

Considering that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will hit stores in September, THQ Nordic will definitely reveal more information about the game soon. In the meantime, take a look at its first trailer down below:
