Cyanide's WEREWOLF: THE APOCALYPSE - EARTHBLOOD Will Be Released Next February
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Category: Action-Adventure Games
Unfortunately for hardcore fans of Styx: Shards of Darkness and Call of Cthulhu, Cyanide's next big thing — Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood — has been delayed and will no longer make its debut this year. Instead, the action-packed game will arrive on both current- and next-gen consoles (and PC) in February.
To make the wait for the Blood Bowl team's new title a little easier, Nacon has released the first gameplay trailer for this "unique experience full of savage combat and mystical adventures." After watching said video, we can confirm that it does look pretty... unique (although we're still not sure what we've just seen).
In Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood, you will assume control of Cahal, a frantic shapeshifter who "plays a crucial role in the great war between the Garou [humans with the ability to transform into a wolf] and Endron, a powerful oil company that serves the Wyrm, a destructive spirit ravaging the planet."
For those unfamiliar with Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood, the upcoming game is loosely based on Mark Rein-Hagen's tabletop RPG Werewolf: The Apocalypse. Quite interestingly, Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is set in the World of Darkness universe (just like Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong).
To learn more about Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood's game mechanics, check out its latest trailer:
With his former Caern in danger, Cahal must return to a land he once called home to protect his family and friends, no matter the cost. With the evil corporation Endron besieging them from every side, only you can fight the corruption taking root within your home, using the devastating power of the Werewolf to turn the tide.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) in February 2021.
