Eivor’s Fate Has Been Revealed in Jaw-Dropping ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA Character Trailer

In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players assume the role of Eivor, the game's female or male protagonist who embarks on a desperate quest for glory, power, and prosperity that will take them far from their homeland.

Their mission to start a new life won't be easy, as Alfred the Great and his people won't turn a blind eye to the Viking invasion of Britain, doing whatever they can to stop their deadly expansion before it even begins.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is following in Assassin's Creed Odyssey's footsteps, allowing the player to choose a male or female hero. Unlike the 2018 instalment, Valhalla will give you a chance to change you character's gender at any time during the game. Fans of Netflix's The Last Kingdom TV show should be happy to hear that the male Eivor is played by Magnus Bruun, while his female counterpart is portrayed by Cecilie Stenspil.

Considering that Assassin's Creed has been inspired by real historical events from the very beginning, some longtime fans of the franchise might not like the idea of a female character being an optional Valhalla protagonist. According to Thierry Noël, historian and inspirational content advisor of the Editorial Research Unit on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, it's not a big problem, as "sagas and myths from Norse society are full of tough female characters and warriors. It was part of their idea of the world, that women and men are equally formidable in battle, and that’s something that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will reflect."
