BACK 4 BLOOD: Turtle Rock Studios Is Working on First Trailer for LEFT 4 DEAD Spiritual Successor

Turtle Rock Studios is working on the first trailer for Back 4 Blood, a new first-person shooter that will try to fill the void left by the absence of Left 4 Dead, which was created by the team at the California-based studio.

That's right, the original makers of 2008's Left 4 Dead — formerly operating under the Valve South name — are developing a new co-op zombie shooter that will be released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

"It’s hard to overstate what an awesome opportunity this is. We get to return to a genre that was born in our studio with over ten years of additional experience and zombie ideas racked up in our brains," Back 4 Blood Design Director Chris Ashton said in a press release issued in March 2019. "We also have some of the best teammates in the business at WBIE who understand our development process and are equally committed to our player-first mentality. We love being able to announce, so we can start working with the community right away.” Considering that Back 4 Blood was revealed over a year ago, the award-winning Evolve developer's next big thing could very well make its debut sometime in 2021.

Quite interestingly, Back 4 Blood is the only title Turtle Rock is currently producing, which means that players can forget about any sequels to 2015's Evolve — which was a major commercial failure — for the time being.

While we're patiently waiting for Back 4 Blood's long-awaited announcement trailer, be sure to take a closer look at the first concept art of the next-gen shooter's completely ruined and zombiefied world down below:
